  • Tracking subscriptions and entry fees
  • Communicating with members about competitions and club business
  • Keeping the site and member accounts secure

Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed on the following grounds under Article 5 of the Law:

  • Expressly provided for by law — the record-keeping obligations imposed by association legislation
  • Necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract — the membership relationship and competition entry
  • Compliance with a legal obligation — financial records and official filings
  • Legitimate interest — site security and prevention of unauthorised access

Data requiring particular care, such as identity numbers, is processed only so far as the club register requires and is never published in any list on the site.

How the data is collected

Data is collected directly from you through the membership application form, the member profile, the competition entry screen and the contact form. Competition assessments are entered into the system by the judges.

Transfers

Your personal data is never transferred to third parties for marketing and is never sold. It is transferred only to the hosting and email delivery providers the site depends on, so far as the service requires, and to public authorities where the law obliges the club to respond.

Competition results and committee lists are published on the site; those lists contain only names and information about placings.

Retention

Membership and financial records are kept after the membership ends for the period the law requires. Competition results are kept indefinitely, as they form part of the club’s history. Data whose retention period has expired is deleted or anonymised.

  • To request information if it has been processed
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
  • To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data has been transferred
  • To request correction if the data is incomplete or inaccurate
  • To request erasure or destruction under the conditions the Law sets out
  • To request that correction, erasure and destruction be notified to the third parties concerned
  • To object to an adverse outcome reached solely by automated analysis
  • To claim compensation for loss suffered through unlawful processing
